Early years foundation stage curriculum
Jolly International School follows the British National Curriculum which is a set of subjects to be taught and learned and standards expected to be attained by the learners from the Early Years through to the completion of Year 6.
The Early Years Foundation Stage has been designed to introduce the young learners to a school environment and routines.
The children are taught and learn through child-centered activities that build up self-confidence, develop and refine essential skills required for later academic work i.e. concentration, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
The learning areas are Literacy, Numeracy, Science, History, and Geography, Technology, Music, Dance and Drama, and Physical Education
The Importance of Language Skills Development
Jolly International School recognizes the importance of developing the learners’ language skills as they are the underlying key components to a child’s success in other learning areas.
Language is a means of communicating ones emotions, ideas and the way in which the learner may demonstrate his/her grasp of concepts taught.
Cross-Cultural Appreciation
Through our programme of Cross-Cultural Studies Jolly International School wants to give the children a global perspective of the world at large.
As the children learn about one another’s history, culture, languages, and Faith, we believe that they will grow into individuals with a strong personal identity and appreciation for the rich diversity of people around the world.
We will work with parents to guide the children into becoming responsible and respectful people of integrity and sound moral judgment.
